Expiration or Best Before Dates

Our cellophane is always a cellulose based thin film, used in veterinary medicine to produce slow attenuation of congenital portosystemic shunts in dogs and cats.

We always endeavour to provide you, the customer, with the best cellophane in the market, and in order to do this, we have placed shelf life recommendations on each of our products based on their composition and manufacturing date.

We use the term, 'Best Before' instead of 'Expiration Date' because the cellophane never really expires, but rather degrades with time and exposure to the environment. The speed at which this degradation occurs is not known, or predictable, and is affected by many environmental and situational variables such as moisture, light, type of sterilization, temperature etc.

The package labels on your CelloVet provides you with a 'Best Before' date, indicating optimal use before this date. Use beyond the 'Best Before' date does not mean that your CelloVet needs to be discarded or that it is expired unless its structural integrity begins to change or fail (e.g. cracking, breaking, brittle).
